Prof. Dr. dr. Allen Widysanto, Professor in the field of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine
Prof. Dr. dr. Allen Widysanto, Sp.P., TTS, FAPSR, FISR, Faculty of Medicine Vice Dean, has been officially inaugurated as a Professor in the field of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine
on June 10, 2023.
Prof. Allen delivered an inaugural speech titled “Efforts to Prevent and Stop Teenage Smoking: An Opportunity and Challenge.” She emphasized that smoking among teenagers poses a greater threat compared to adults and stressed the long-term health implications of easy access to cigarettes for young people. Professor in Accounting, Prof. Golrida Highlighted Implementation of PSAK 65 in Indonesia
Professor Dr. Golrida Karyawati Purba, M.Si, Ak., CA, CSRA, has been officially appointed as a Professor in Accounting at UPH. The appointment was made on June 28, 2023.
In her scientific oration titled “The Effectiveness of PSAK 65 as a Principle-Based Accounting Standard,” Prof. Golrida emphasized the critical role of the Indonesian Financial Accounting Standard (PSAK) 65 as a clear and consistent framework. She highlighted the importance of evaluating PSAK 65 in Indonesia, given the urgent need for accounting regulations to promote sound business practices in the country. Read more

Food Microbiology
During the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Adolf presented a scientific oration titled “Development of Plant-Based Synbiotic Yogurt with Microencapsulation of Lactic Acid Bacteria to Support Public Health.” He emphasized the development of synbiotic yogurt using plant-based ingredients, which offer various health benefits. This finding provides an alternative for individuals who prefer products made from plant-based sources and avoid animal-based ingredients. Read more
