TOURISM PHILOSOPHY
This course discusses the basic concepts and main issues of tourism as a scientific discipline in a philosophical perspective as well as development and implementation in the business / tourism industry in a comprehensive manner. The discussion covers the essential concepts, scientific foundations and philosophies in the ontological, epistemological and ecological dimensions of tourism in professional duties in accordance with the rules, morals and ethics of science and noble values of the Indonesian nation's culture and religious teachings for the welfare and dignity of mankind.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP & STARTUP BUSINESS FOR TOURISM
This course discusses entrepreneurship, such as ways to do and run a tourism business. Tourism entrepreneurship encourages the creation of new products and services and awakens the existing economic order. New companies that fail to face challenges can end in bankruptcy. Entrepreneurship is found in all business ventures in the world because every company, large or small, must have an entrepreneurial spirit to be able to survive.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
TOURISM PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT
This course discusses tourism planning and development in accordance with the rules of propriety. There is a discussion about the harmony between the roles of tourism stakeholders and the development of tourism. With good planning, the development of tourism will last for a long time and will reduce the negative impact on the environment, social and culture of tourism development.
TOURISM INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY
Provides a view regarding the future of tourism from the technology and innovation side that will enhance the sustainability and resiliency of tourism sector.
SUSTAINABLE TOURISM MANAGEMENT
This course introduces the sustainable tourism concept, a tourism concept that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities. From the basic concept explanation, case study for sustainable destination example, to knowledge about Peraturan Menteri Pariwisata RI No. 14 Tahun 2016 will make students able to apply the sustainability concept in the industry.
RISK MANAGEMENT IN TOURISM
This course aims to introduce and give students an understanding of the various types of risks faced by the tourism business world from pure risks to speculative risks. Various aspects of risk, such as types and sources, as well as management and control processes are given comprehensively.
