WELCOME TO UPH WHERE THE EXCELLENCY BEGIN
It is based on 1 Pet. 4:10. “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” We have been born again by the Holy Spirit, we have been transformed by the renewing of our mind so that we can discern what
is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. However, this is not an end in itself, this transformation aims at enabling us to become lights and salts for all aspects of the world that the Triune God has created, this means it aims at enabling us to be His faithful stewards which will bring His peace or shalom into human life and will liberate human culture, sciences, and technology from its bondage to sin’s corruption in the power of Christ’s redemptive work. In other words, we are called to be God’s stewards with an excellent mind and in an excellent way.
It is our prayer that all the devotions, events, mentoring, performances and celebrations involving our students will begin a lifelong process in their lives of allowing Christ to transform them into a faithful and godly steward of God’s grace with an excellent mind and in
an excellent way. At UPH we believe

that this is central to our vision-mission and statement of faith. Therefore, it is our calling as UPH educators, mentors, and civitas academica to create the environment and guide the process through which our students can really become excellent God’s stewards. To workout this calling, we do not only teach the minds of our students, but, with the assistance and in the power of the Holy Spirit, we also attempt to shape their hearts and behavior. We do not only aims at conversion of heart, but also external working out of this conversion in their respective life and vocations.
In other words, we work for a holistic growth in the life of our students, in their thinking, motivation, and actions, so that they can be ready to take their role as God’s faithful stewards in their vocations and civic calling with an excellent mind and in an excellent way in Indonesia. With the guidance and blessing of the Triune God, we trust that all the events of UPH Festival 2024 will prepare you to be an excellent-minded God’s stewards, not only for this new academic year, but also for your entire journey in UPH.
