ASEAN AND REGIONALISM IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
ASEAN has been engaged in various kinds of regionalism which is understood as a modality to find solutions of economic, political and security problems at the regional level through international cooperation. As an entity ASEAN is supposed to help its members accomplish their common goals as well as their national policy priorities. This course help the students how regionalism in economy, politics and security has developed in Southeast Asia and what are the challenges and opportunities for the member states.
INDONESIA'S FOREIGN POLICY ANALYSIS
Indonesia has to respond to the needs of its people and the complexity of globalization and regionalization. This course is aimed at analyzing Indonesia's strategies in dealing with those challenges while taking into account the fact that today foreign policy making is no longer exclusive business of the president or Minister of Foreign Affairs but there are many policy stakeholders who want to influence the content and modalities of policy implementation. This course also analyze how Indonesia's foreign policy is conceptualized in historical perspective with a special emphasis on the current period of Presiden Joko Widodo.

ENLIGHTENING NATION IN A GLOBALIZED WORLD
GLOBALIZATION AND GLOBAL ISSUES
This course is concerned with the phenomenon of globalization and its consequences for states and societies. There is an increasing tendency of the deepening and integration of the economy, politics and culture. The worldwide use of social media has affected how the idea of democracy and human rights has spread throughout the globe and the states have to respond this challenge by developing their globalization strategies. Global issues such as climate change, terrorism, transnational civil society networks and transnational organized crime will be analyzed and how they affect international or global politics in general.
RESEARCH DESIGN SEMINAR
This course is aimed at the writing of a good and systematic research design that will make the students ready to conduct their research and write their thesis. Thus, they will have to study the essential elements of a good research design as a preparation of thesis writing and its publication later on.
THESIS AND PUBLICATION
Research design will be used as a guide for the students to collect their data and make an outline of their thesis. They are supposed to write the thesis that is relevant and related to the substance of the field of international relations by using scientific methodology and all the universal parameters of making a scientific resport which will be then defended in an examination. The result of this writing will also be published in an online journal of the study progam.
