PHILOSOPHY OF COMMUNICATION
This subject studies about the scientific perspective in ontology, epistemology, and axiology, especially regarding communication and media.
PERSPECTIVE AND THEORIES OF COMMUNICATION
This subject studies theories in Communication Science relating to the contexts of communication, especially focus in the context of digital era.
COMMUNICATION, TECHNOLOGY, AND SOCIETY
This subjects try to understanding of technological progress and its effects on communication and society will be an absolute requirement for all practitioners and communication managers of the 21st Century.
QUALITATIVE COMMUNICATION RESEARCH METHODS
In this course you will learn about methods related to qualitative perspectives, such as content analysis, phenomenology, ethnography methods where data collection is focused on searching for meaning and patterns or making generalizations.
QUANTITATIVE COMMUNICATION RESEARCH METHODS
In this course you will also learn about methods related to quantitative perspectives, such as content analysis methods, surveys, and how to make surveys, as well as reading data analysis with SPSS.
MEDIA IMPACT
This course discusses theories about the effects and impacts of the presence of mass media on society, such as intentional-unintentional, micro-macro, cognitive-affective-conative and also learns about 4 models of media effects.
ISSUES IN NEW MEDIA STUDIES
This subject is a subject that provides an explanation and understanding of issues related to the scope of the media. Issues and problems related to the media, ranging from issues concerning gender, news construction, the influence of new media, discourse on news content and related issues and problems from various economic, political, social and cultural contexts.
