Opening the first day of UPH Festival 22, all new students gathered in worship. God?s words were delivered through a video of Dr. Ravi Zacharias, a Christian Apologist who has been used by God in serving many countries either in government environment or universities. In his message, Dr. Zacharias shared the importance to understand each of the students? purpose in searching true knowledge, so that they are not weakened by many false teachings.

In this opportunity, Mitchell Moore, UPH Chaplain also introduced Spiritual Formation department. He expected the new students to participate on the chaplain programs maximally such as serving, student worship on Friday, counseling, Youth Camp, and other trainings. Through these programs, students can learn and be directed to achieve true knowledge that eventually will guide us to the true purpose of life as what God desires.

The chaplain program also synergize with each of the faculties to direct every students in comprehending knowledge in each fields objectively. ?In UPH, you are not only learning in class room, but also through many ways such as projects, internships, and other programs,? Mitchel explained.

Last but not least, Mr. Moore reminded the audience that the purpose to gain knowledge is not solely to earn title, attain as much information possible, get something more, or fulfill parents? demand. But what is expected from the education in UPH is that the graduates can learn more about Him, Christ, objectively and subjectively. Thus, we can answer our main questions in life such as: what God wants in our lives, what are the problems around us and what are the solutions. In short, we have to be impactful human beings that please God. (rh/nn)
