Welcoming Christmas celebration, UPH share the love with the internal and external of UPH
Welcoming Christmas celebration, UPH share the love with the internal and external of UPH. Christmas for internal and external event carried out on December 15, 2015 to outsourcing employees of the UPH such as cleaning service, gardener, office boy / girl, and others. As for the action of external christmas, UPH share the love with Elim School Foundation, Tangerang.
Contribution given to Elim School Foundation is in the form of physical and non-physical. In non-physical form, UPH is represented by several faculties such as the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Psychology and Teachers College in giving seminars for teachers and students, also competitions for students like reading poetry and the Bible contest. In physical form, UPH conduct renovations to existing facilities such as courts, libraries and teachers’ lounge. Field is also renovated into a suitable field to be used for four sports at once, namely basketball, volleyball, futsal and badminton. UPH also provide a shelf full of books for the library with learning books and spiritual story book. Teachers’ room is also renovated into a neater room and worthy to use.
On December 16, 2016 closing event was held together with the opening at the same facilities that have been renovated in Elim School Foundation. The event was attended by Connie Rasilim, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Budi Legowo, Vice-Rector for Marketing, Business Development and External Relations, Budi Yuwono, Assistant Rector of UPH, UPH staff and faculty, and students, teachers and school principals Elim Foundation.
The event was enlivened by musical performances of pianika, played by elementary school students of Elim and reading Christmas poetry by Benedicta, 1st winner of reading poetry contest. Equipped with a Christmas message by Budi Yuwono, which reminded us again that we really understand Christmas? meaning and think more about Jesus, and not just busy with Christmas trinkets and it?s celebration. Further Budi Legowo also convey the message that this is one of the activities to back up the life of Christ who always pay attention to other people and to be a blessing. “The Lord Jesus came as a ‘shalom’ or peace for us. Let us also take the message to the people around us, “added Budi Legowo.
Principal of the Elim School Foundation, Tomi Polnaya, also express gratitude and thanks to the UPHfor the contribution and attention given. He also pray and hope that UPH to continue this kind of activity to educational foundations in need.
The event ended with the cutting of the ribbon as the inauguration of the facility and continued with fellowship. Also the students are seen rejoicing in trying to play on their new field. (Fc/mf)
