UPH Held a Beauty Class and a Cinematography Workshop for SMAK 5 Penabur

Thursday, December 10, 2015 ? UPH received a visit from 12th grade students and teachers from SMAK 5 Penabur, Kelapa Gading. On the event today, students were divided into two groups to join UPH in a Beauty Class and Cinematography Workshop. 

For the Beauty Class session, the session was assisted by Miss UPH 2014 as well as UPH Marketing and Admission team. This class was held to remind participants that in prior of noticing physical beauty one has to notice their inner beauty first. Therefore, in this occasion, students were told that they need to keep their dignity and they also have to possess confidence, they were also told how to take care of their hair and face.

After all of the information, surely more than 40 participants, who are mostly girls were given the chance to learn how to wear daily make-up, a simple and natural ones which is not too much. Aside from learning about make-up, the team from Miss UPH also gave them certain tips to do the cat-walk and how to do the right pose in cat-walk.

Direct Practice at the Short-Film Making Workshop Session

Just like the Beauty Class, in this Cinematography workshop, approximately 30 students were provided with information about film-making. For this workshop, J. Baptista Anton, a Cinematography lecturer, gave an explanation about who were included in the film-making crew and then another explanation on film-production, which includes Pre-production and post-production, which was divided into two more stages, offline stage or re-ordering pictures sequences and online editing, or dubbing as well as color correction.

Certainly, students didn?t just obtain information, but they were also given the chance to directly involve in a making of a short-film with duration of less than 2 minutes up to the offline editing process. Students were divided into several groups and were provided with cameras and other supporting devices for film-making, from UPH. (mt)
