UPH Teaches 4 Basic Physical Exercise Movements to Middle School and High School Students

UPH Sport Department and Wellness Center opened a sport symposium on the first day (23/8) to teach the basic movements for various sports for middle school and high school students.

UPH Sport Department and Wellness Center opened a sport symposium on the first day (23/8) to teach the basic movements for various sports for middle school and high school students. Around 1200 participants that participated in the first day of the event were from UPH College, Sekolah Lentera Harapan (SLH) Curug, Sekolah Pelita Harapan (SPH) Kemang, Sekolah Dian Harapan (SDH) Daan Mogot, SMA PSKD, and SMA Yohanes Surya.
 
At the beginning of the symposium, the students were taught the proper 4 basic exercise movements so they would not get easily hurt. After that, Teddy, one of the teachers in UPH College showed basic exercise movements for all sport fields with the help of a demonstration from UPH Sport team. According to UPH Sport athlete, Lettisia Irena and Cassiopea Manuputy, this symposium was held so that the high school students can understand the right basic movements for various sport fields.

This sport symposium was held for two days, Friday and Saturday, 23 ? 24 August 2013 from 13.00 to 17.00. For the event on Saturday, UPH will invite two guest speakers, Dr. Niel Nielson ? former high school tennis player at Wheaton College and Lukas Roush ? former football player at Duke University America.
