UPH As The Best Private University in Indonesia 2013 Version QS University Ranking

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Karawaci is ranked top among private universities in Indonesia version QS University Ranking: Asia 2013.

 

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Karawaci is ranked top among private universities in Indonesia version QS University Ranking: Asia 2013. According to the survey released on June 17, 2013, 10 Indonesian universities are listed on the top 300 universities in Asia. And UPH becomes the only private university listed in there.

 

Christina Yan Zhang said in a statement accompanying the report that glocal student increasingly prevalent. They are students, who have global aspirations, but choose to stay in the country or region of origin to study.

 

UPH increases its rank from 382 in 2012 to 277. As additional information, QS University Ranking (www.topuniversities.com), a survey agency based in London, is quite reliable and objective since 2004, they use methodology in analyzing the data by rating categories, such as academic reputation, reputation of the institution, faculty student to assess the quality of teaching, scientific citations per paper, international faculty, international students, scientific papers per faculty, student exchange abroad, and student exchange enrollment from abroad.

 

Head of QS Intelligence Unit, Ben Sowter said, ?Since the last global recession, 17% over 200 universities in Asia entered the global. Over the next two decades, they will take over the domination of the universities in the United States and Europe.?

 

UPH Rector, Jonathan L. Parapak welcomed and thanked for the appreciation given by the QS Intelligence Unit via the ?QS University Ranking: Asia 2013?. This achievement will further encourage UPH with its vision to go ahead and established itself as a university with international standard.(ym)
