?I want you to stay hungry and it?s okay to be foolish or think out of ordinary,? said Gita Irawan Wirjawan, Minister of Trade of Indonesia to the new students at Distinguished Guest Speaker Seminar UPH Festival 19 on Friday, August 3, 2012. Gita was really optimistic that one day innovative figures like Steve Jobs would come from UPH students.

Gita Wirjawan also said that Indonesia?s GDP had already got better. People might have not known that Indonesia?s economic had already got better and Indonesia?s economy had been in top 20.

Indonesia?s economic condition that had been better made him believe that Indonesia would have a better future, but the future itself would still depend on young generations. ?You are the member of ?Justin Bieber? generation who will define the future of Indonesia,? he said.

Based on what he learned in India for 3 years, that country started to develop because they promoted their country intelligently. That was because they were proud of their nation. Therefore, it was very important for Indonesia?s young generations to get more knowledge about their own nation, so they could promote Indonesia in global proudly.

Education was also a factor that determined our nation?s fate, because according to him, there would be a lot of challenges or risks that needed to be conquered in order to pursue a better Indonesia in the future. ?The more educated we are, the better we manage the risk,? he explained to the new students.
