Faculty of Liberal Arts Launched Four New Subjects

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Faculty of Liberal Arts (FLA) launched its new elective subjects. Those are Asian Thought, World History, Anthropology, and Mandarin. ?The classes will be opened in the next semester,? said Helena Rebecca, Head of the event committee.

Due to the launching, FLA held a talk show entitled ?Mandarin Language and My Future Career? on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Lobby of Building B. This talk show invited a Chinese artist Bai Xue Lang with moderator Novilina. Besides the talk show, there was exhibition of Mandarin books, CD, and Bai?s artworks. Visitors could also ask for personal?s artwork with their names written on Bai?s drawing.

?Approximately 30 people participated in the talk show,? said Rebecca. There were also children?s performances celebrating Chinese heritage and culture during the talk show. ?They were singing, reading poems, and telling story in Mandarin,? said her again. (dee)
