Overview

This program will produce graduates who will become Christian Indonesian teachers with a global perspective, who are able to teach Indonesian not only in the context of national schools, but also for international schools. The goal is to produce missionary teachers who will become Indonesian language activists for the young generation in Indonesia to love and preserve Indonesian language and be proud to speak it.

Vision of the Study Program:
To become a Christ-centered Indonesian Language Education study program, which develops transformative and holistic learning based on Biblical Christian Insight, to prepare Indonesian language teachers who have true knowledge, faith in Christ, and godly character.

Mission of the Study Program:
To develop reflective, responsive, and responsible Christian teachers in Indonesian language education with international standards, who are able to teach in the context of Indonesian culture while having a transformative and holistic understanding based on biblical Christian insight, within the framework of the ‘Great Story’ (Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Consummation) of Reformed theology, by:
Organizing transformative and holistic learning to develop Indonesian language teachers
Developing research capabilities for the benefit of developing the Indonesian language education
Participating in community development through contributions in the field of Indonesian language education in the context of Indonesian culture, for the glory of God.

Objectives of the Study Program:
Referring to the vision and mission of the study program, the objectives of the Indonesian Language Education study program are to prepare prospective teachers to become teachers who have character, calling, and competence or to produce graduates who will work as:
A teacher of Indonesian language studies who has complete knowledge of Christ, His Word, and His design for our world.
A teacher of Indonesian language studies who has leadership with a holistic and transformative vision.
A citizen who has a heart that serves Christ, the nation, and others in the field of Indonesian language education, as well as presents excellence in the field of Indonesian language education based on biblical Christian insight.
