Profile:

In 2015, after visiting UPH ten times over a period of 5 years, Dr. Curtis Jay. Taylor moved to Indonesia with his family in order to join the International Teachers College at Universitas Pelita Harapan as a teacher and the Director of Admissions. In this capacity, he has the privilege of recruiting qualified Christian students from around the world for the primary and secondary English education programs that the ITC offers. Prior to coming to Indonesia, Dr. Taylor served Dordt College in Iowa (USA) for 23 years in various administrative roles, including Dean for Global Education, Special Assistant to the President, Vice President for Student Services, and Director of Residence Life. Over the course of his career in higher education. Dr. Taylor has also held administrative roles at Iowa State University (USA), the University of Washington (USA), and Michigan State University (USA) and has served in leadership positions on numerous national boards related to higher education. Dr. Taylor has had the honor of speaking to groups in over 30 countries in North America and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia on topics related to Christian education, US higher education, leadership, and strategic planning. He has served as president of the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce, as vice president of the Sioux Center Christian School Board, and as a member of the Board of Directors of St. Luke's College in Sioux City. Dr. Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Calvin College (USA), a master's degree in college and university administration from Michigan State University (USA), and a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy studies from Iowa State University (USA).
