Joint Degree Program of UPH-RMIT Bestowed The Bachelor?s Degree to The Eight Students Who Have Finished The Joint Degree Program in UPH Karawaci
For the first time, the Joint Degree Program of UPH-RMIT bestowed the Bachelor?s degree to the students who have finished the Joint Degree program in UPH Karawaci, Indonesia. There were eight graduates of Joint Degree program who received Bachelor of Business degree from RMIT, and who now, has officially became a part of RMIT alumni, equipped with skills such as work-readiness, good teamwork skill, initiative and leadership. The inauguration was led by Professor Ian Palmer, Acting Vice-Chancellor and President of RMIT and RMIT representatives, such as Dr Eugene Sebastian ? Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor International, and Maddy McMaster ? Academic Registrar.
Aside from the Bachelor?s inauguration, there were also 52 students of Joint Degree program who had finished their first year, who was ready to receive the Diploma of Commerce certificate from RMIT. For those students, they still have to continue their studies in UPH Business School to finish the entire curriculum, in order to achieve Economics degree from UPH and Bachelor of Business from RMIT.
Attending this ceremony, was Rector of UPH Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, Vice Rector Dr. Gunawaty Tjioe, Dean of UPH Business School Dr. Niel Nielson, International Program Coordinator of UPH Business School Dr. Peggy Adeline Mekel, graduates? relatives, invitees and UPH staff.
Joint Degree Program is cooperation between UPH and RMIT in terms of curriculum collaboration for the students of UPH Management and Accounting. Unlike the Dual Degree students, Joint Degree students will attend classes fully at, with lecturers from RMIT Australia who will be collaborating with lecturers from UPH Business School.
The great thing about the Joint Degree program is that students can save their expenses because they would not need to pay extra costs to study abroad. Instead, they could get RMIT international curriculum without having to leave Indonesia. With international knowledge and insight, graduates of this program will have a broader chance in the professional world, not only in Indonesia but also in the international market. (rh)
