Clinical Educator (CE) Training Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences UPH

A Clinical Educator training was held from February 28 to March 2, 2011 in UPH Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, attended by 30 participants.

Clinical Educators were trained in UPH Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences.
The increasing challenges and public demands to nursing services requires the nursing education to perform various improvement starting from the curriculum, infrastructure, human resources (HR), and all aspects involved in education. HR as one of the education aspects that plays role as an activator, manager, and educator provider needs to get serious attention.

One important part of HR is the existence of Clinical Educator (CE). CE is the person who conducts clinical learning guidance to provide real experience and help learners to be able to reach the required competence. CE has several important roles, such as motivator, facilitator, role model, advocate, or evaluator.

In order to provide and prepare the CE to be able to play every role and task, Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences UPH organized a training for clinic supervisors.

?The general objective of this training is so that after training the participants are expected to have similar perceptions about the learning process in clinic area, so that they can guide effectively,? said Yakobus Siswadi as the head of committee of this event.
This training was held in three days (February 28 to March 2, 2011) in Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences UPH, attended by 30 participants coming from Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences UPH, lecturers of nursing education institutions Tangerang-Banten, and the hospital nurses.
