In addition to the general (compulsory) admission requirements, you will need to submit the following additional requirements for Conservatory of Music admission:
The admission team will assess your application and decide whether or not to process further your application based on your submitted application documents above. Should your application be accepted, you may receive invitation for live instrument / vocal / composition audition, interview (for scholarship application), and Theory & Solfeggio Preliminary Test.

Pre-screening Video Recording
All prospective students are required to send video recording that represents candidates’ latest performance skill levels. This will be further assessed in the pre-screening process to determine whether or not you are able to enter the audition process at UPH. Sent video recordings must meet the requirements according to the respective instrument chosen. They must come in CD/DVD/USB (file format .mp4, .avi) with high quality video and audio. Videos submitted must show full face and body (i.e. fingers playing the piano) without any manipulations whatsoever.
The following list are instruments which are available for the pre-screening process:
Non-classical Instruments: Piano, Voice, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Drum Set.

Resume/CV
In a separate document, please provide your resume/CV. Your resume should include:
Section I (Musical Experiences)
The name(s) of your current private teachers. Include the dates you studied with them, and their contact information.
A list of any music performance and/or competitions in which you participated and all award or recognition you have received.
A list of any music-related achievements; including leading ensembles, arranging, organizing event, teaching music, etc.
Section II (Non-Musical Experiences)
A list of academic activities and awards in your high school.
A list of any community service or ministry in which you have participatedl what particular role did you play?
A list of any other creative works you have accomplished aside from the musical ones above.
Essay/Personal Statement
In a separate document, write an essay of 500-700 words addressing these questions:
Why do you want to pursue music as your vocation? why do you choose the particular concentration mentioned above?
Tell us important figures, particular music, particular situation/experience, or certain quotes that have a special meaning to you. How have they influenced you?
Martin Luther once wrote: “Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise. The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to man that he should proclaim the Word of God through Music.” Tell us about your dream and vision in life; what do you want to accomplish through music?
Recommendation Letters
For all applicants, two letters of recommendation are required. Recommendation letters should come from someone who knows well the applicant’s academic and musical stand (music/instrument teacher, high school teacher, etc.).
Prospective students who pass the pre-screening process and are acknowledged to be considered admitted to the UPH Conservatory of Music may receive invitation for:
Live Audition Repertoires of which to be played are the same with the pre-screening requirements. Prospective students may also prepare additional performance materials. Please refer to specific instrument requirements.
Music Theory & Solfeggio Tests Prospective students will take both music theory and solfeggio tests to see how far they are prepared to enter and follow the academic programs of UPH Conservatory of Music.
