UPH Magister of Law open Certificate of Completion (COC) Program for practitioners who have an interest to explore more in the field of Investment Law, Trade and Competition. This program will adopt a course system where the classes will take up to 16 hours for 5 days. The fourth class has been conducted from February 24 to February 28, 2014. With the flexibility of the course system and accepting students from any kind of educational background, such as economy and social, the class thus far has been answering the needs of practitioners.
Certificate of Completion is suitable as a preparation for students who wish to continue their studies to Master of Law in Trade, Investment, Competition and Policy Program (MTIC Program). By joining COC, students can find out first a part of MITC program before joining as a full-time MTIC student. Moreover, students can transfer their credits from COC program to the MTIC program.
Meanwhile, for students who wish to take the MTIC but do not have time to take the intensive classes, there is another choice for that situation, the module package. This package, named Professional Certification in Trade, Investment and Competition Law and Policy (PTIC), only focus on one module from the complete modules of MTIC program. Students who have finished the module will get a certification awarded by World Trade Institute (WTI) at University of Berne, Switzerland and Universitas Pelita Harapan Faculty of Law. The module will take about 3 months to complete and should the student decide to continue on to the complete MTIC program, the taken credits can be transferred and students will extend their study period for 6 months to finish the complete modules.
MTIC is a program under the supervision of UPH Master of Law program that specializes in the field of international trading law. Together with World Trade Institute Switzerland, this program stands out from other master of law programs. It offers a well-designed curriculum, English as the medium language, lecturers who have followed the LLM benchmark program in several renowned Asia, America, and Europe universities. The lecturers are the best expertise in their respective fields and they come from various countries, which will give a real global knowledge. (rh) |
