Joint Degree Program is a collaboration product of UPH and RMIT in the form of a curriculum for Department of Management and Accounting of UPH. Unlike the Dual Degree program, Joint Degree students will attend classes fully at UPH by inviting lecturers from RMIT Australia for certain sessions and collaborating with the lecturers of Business School of UPH that has been approved by RMIT Australia.

The advantages of the Joint Degree program is that students can save money because they do not need to pay extra to study abroad but will still get RMIT international curriculum without having to leave Indonesia. With international foundation of knowledge and insight, the graduates of this program will have greater opportunities in the work environment, not only in Indonesia but also in the international market.

The following is a testimony by Anthony Jaya Lie, Joint Degree of 2013, and his parents.

“I am pleased to be able to complete the first year of the UPH-RMIT Joint Degree program. Initially, I found it difficult, for there are many challenges and obstacles. I think the lesson is quite heavy, two times heavier than the regular class as well as international class. Students are required to be more intelligent, logic, and to think out of the box. It feels like it has its own satisfaction to get past through the first year of the program. The lecturers are good and have been always supporting us. Fellow students are also good and our mutual support. Existing facilities at UPH campus is very nice and have really helped us completing the assignments such as Library as the facilities, as well as sports facilities and campus? environment that strongly support the learning process. After this, I still have to finish the whole program and I have to focus. “

“In choosing a school for children, I refer it back to the child’s interest. And indeed my son chose to go to this college here. Therefore, we support to what is best for the child. As parents, of course, I am proud that my son can finish his first year. My expectations after studying these sciences and knowledge he could practice in the world of work. UPH is indeed the best option, by taking this program, my child can get an education abroad without having to go abroad. The facilities are also very good. I even recommended it to family and colleagues.” (Anthony?s Parents). (RH)
