The closing ceremony of UPH Festival 22 on Saturday, August 22, 2015 presented the phenomenal human configuration, which shaped like the symbol of ?Grow Deeper?. The event was continued with National Basketball Exhibition where Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) played against Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU).  The very long day, which has been fully packed with UPH Festival 22 events, did not make the new students and public lose their enthusiasm in watching the game. The tribunes were all full with crowds proving how big their supports, sportsmanship, and prides are to UPH.

Accompanied by each of the coaches, both teams played really well. The game that consisted of 4 quarters was always led by UPH team with a significant score gap. UEU kept on showing their fighting spirit and did not give up to catch up. Besides basketball competition, the event was cheered with Korean modern dance performance by Hana Union, along with mini games, 5K Run documentary video, and announcement of 5K fastest runners and winner of selfie competition. The game ended with the score of 102 (UPH) ? 48 (UEU).

Kenny, Management 2015, a basketball fan who had participated on UPH Festival events thought that the game would be more exciting if the opponent was stronger. But the game overall was crowded and fun. ?Sports facilities in UPH is very complete and the sports program itself seemed to be supported. It is not surprising that UPH has always been the champion in many basketball championships,? Kenny said.

John Riady and wife also watched the game supporting UPH team. ?The game was really fun and exciting. After all, this is a friendly match. So, it does not really matter to win or to lose. This is a chance to bring people to UPH to watch and enliven the game. UPH indeed is excellent in sport. But still, I think that UEU also played well,? John said.

The significant score gap between UPH and UEU, the team that had ever won several basketball championships, made some of the audiences curious about what happened to UEU?s performance that night. According to Vendy, the coach, UEU team is currently in a transition. ?Our team consists of new members which are still in transition. This is why I salute UPH. The regeneration is always good, the team is always solid, and the preparation is really well,? he said while smiling.

Contrasting the opinions of most people, Mr. Stephen Metcalfe, coach of UPH team said that the team players were supposed to play better than that. ?There were some mistakes that actually could be prevented. I do not really focus on the score. What the crowds see is different than what I see. Next time we should play better. I do not care about the opponent.  We cannot control them, but we can control our own team,? the coach stated firmly.

The lesson learned from this game, especially from UPH team, is that a score is important, but it is not the main focus. The most important thing is the process, where the character of each player is shaped resulting in a solid team, which does not underestimate the opposite, and always gives the best whoever the opposite is and whatever the condition they face.
