We cannot grow fond to those we do not know. On the first day of UPH Festival 22, the new students were introduced to the seniors who will help them during orientation in UPH Festival. These seniors from the mentor organization have been prepared to guide the new students. Through this session, the new students and seniors were expected to build a good relation, be open and trust one another.

The introduction of mentor to mentee on the first day of UPH Festival started from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. WIB. They gathered based on faculty and department. There were about 500 mentors that would guide the new students. Each of the mentors was given an opportunity to get to know the mentee better.

Mentoring program is one of the uniqueness of UPH. This program is dedicated for new students. The purpose is not only for the new students to feel convenient while learning in UPH, but also for the new students to develop a positive behavior, good character, maturity, and leadership skill that can help their academic experience in UPH. The implementation of this program was delivered by staff, lecturers, and mentors. This program is succeeding because of the recruited mentors come from students who have been selected by their participation during previous academic year. The mentor would be assigned with new students based on each department.

One of the senior mentors, Silvi, Architecture 2012 said that being a mentor does not mean that she is better than the juniors. ?We are chosen to be mentor because we have been through the hard process on the first year to adapt and to transform from our old way of learning in high school to university system,? said Silvi.
