UPH Festival 22 has officially started today, August 19, 2015 until August 22, 2015. During these 4 days, UPH also welcomes high school students in UPH Open House by UPH Marketing Team. On the first day of UPH Festival 22, approximately 388 students from SMA Gandhi Ancol, SMA Santo Kristoforus 2 Jakarta Barat, SMA Tarakanita Citra Raya, SMA Atisa Dipamkara Tangerang, and SMA Notre Dame Jakarta were present in Open House.

The collection of events started with presentation about UPH and the programs in UPH. Different with the previous UPH Open House, this time, UPH invited the alumni that are successful as professional or in business to share their experience to high school students. The present alumnus was Jessica Mareta from Visual Communication Design (DKV) 2007 who currently runs Mamelaide Cake Shop (read the complete profile of Jessica Mareta on http://alumni.uph.edu/alumni-center/alumni-newsletter/210.html?layout=edit).

She shared that the university experience is very useful for her current job. The job, which develops from her hobby, makes her become more creative by applying her knowledge from DKV, which apparently has a big prospect. She expected the high school students to know their passion since in high school, ?I already knew what I wanted since in high school, so that I did not choose the wrong department. If we choose based on our passion, through happiness or struggles, we will survive and give the best,? Jessica said. She also remind the new students in UPH Festival to take things seriously since the beginning of university, obey all the policies, and use the time maximally to build a wide network,? she added.

After sharing session from alumni, there was also music performance from Beilys band that consists of UPH Conservatory of Music students and alumni. Finally, all of the students enjoyed the campus tour and had a lunch at UPH Food Junction.

This event helps the high school students to get information about university life, especially in choosing department, as Wirya, 12th grade in SMA Tarakanita Citra Raya said, ?This event is very good and helpful for me to know about university life. It also helps me to consider which department to choose. So far, I am interested in DKV.?

Followings are testimonies from Open House participants:
