In his opening remark, Prof. Mahfud M.D. expressed his support for this symposium. ?To be frank, when I visited many universities ? including UPH today ? I see that the students? expressions are the expressions that give hope for a better Indonesia,? said Prof. Mahfud. Aside from that, to make an election that is free from corruption and underhanded methods into realization, Banwaslu Chair ? Dr. Muhammad saw that integrity plays a pivotal role. However, a test of integration is an impossible task to do. ?I think that there are no institutions that could test integrity, because only the people who have the integrity could test and brought it upon theirselves,? said Dr. Muhammad.

Meanwhile, KPU Chair ? Husni Kamil Manik explained KPU?s effort to manage and apply the new system that prevent underhanded methods and reduce ? and even to make it clean as best as they could ? any corruption efforts in the upcoming 2014 Presidential election.

The International Symposium held for two days (October 7 to October 8, 2013) and presented in talkshow, seminar, and call for paper formats. (ym)
