Tangerang, September 2 2013 ? International partnership has become a new trend on 21st century, whether the pattern is G to G (Government to Government), Government to Non-government, etc. These trend causes hundreds of international partnership emerge in every part of the world, involving almost every country. Ironically, lot of partnerships still cannot improve people?s live quality. One of the reasons is, many of international partnerships have a lot of members, and thus it?s hard to please every member. Another reason is, what the diplomats talk in the forum, usually don?t come along with their government policies.

Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a thriving global multilateral partnership of governments and civil societies to make governments more accountable, participatory, and innovative in serving their citizens. With a continuously expanding membership that currently stands at 60 countries, OGP is the first multilateral partnership to find effective solutions in making governments more efficient and responsive, particularly with the use of technology and the strategic function of co-partnership between governments and civil societies. Essentially, OGP is ?diplomacy unusual? in conducting international partnership.

Model Open Government Partnership is a replication of Open Government Partnership meetings and operations. It is the first simulation of its kind, arguably the first in the world and fully organized by Open Government Indonesia (OGI) Secretariat. As the organizer, OGI Secretariat aims to introduce youth, in Indonesia and beyond, to the intent and purpose of open government initiative in general, while introducing a new game-changing mode of international cooperation. It is part of our mission to let youth understand the significance of and get engaged in Open Government as they will be the next generations to succeed the government in the future.

In this opportunity, Unit Kerja Presiden Bidang Pengawasan dan Pengendalian Pembangunan ? UKP4 (President’s Delivery Unit for Development Monitoring & Oversight) together with Universitas Pelita Harapan held a roadshow attended by hundreds of university students. The roadshow started with a video about openness and transparency in government activities. After that, the roadshow continued with discussion about openness in campus. The result of this discussion used by Jourdan (UKP4) to led students into his presentation about what is transparency about and why we need to join MOGP.

By joining this MOGP, students will experience a real situation in international partnership. To register, you can go to modelogp.org   and complete the application form and submit your CV and essay.
