This year, Forum Telco Media in cooperation with the Industry Information Communication and Technology (ICT) once again held the prestigious event, Golden Ring Award. In accordance with the rapid development of communication technology in Indonesia, this year Golden Ring Award?s theme was ?Mobile Broadband Trend?. This event was held on April 19, 2013 and located at Grand Ballroom Hotel Kartika Chandra, Jakarta.
This year Golden Ring Award gave out 23 categories to the vendor, operator, and contents. The judging mechanism involved more than 50 journalists from various media in Indonesia.

In his remarks, Dr. Jonathan L Parapak, who is still active in the communication activity in Indonesia as one of the Member of High Level Committee for Restructuring of International Telecommunication Union Geneva, conveyed his gratitude of the award that had been given by the committee for his services and creation during his work in the communication industry in Indonesia. He was also proud with the rapid development of telecommunication system in Indonesia with many providers offer various interesting features that can improve the society in the future.
It is hoped that by organizing this year Golden Ring Award, the operators? achievement throughout the year were appreciated. At the same time, this event could also give a lesson for the society about the best services that had been given by the operators that were qualified by getting the awards. Hopefully, this event will act as the stepping stone for the operator to give an excellent access and data services to the Indonesia?s society. (lat)
